BLS | Ambulance Transportation Services
Our Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances are fully equipped and staffed by two highly trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Explorer – 1 provides ambulance service seven days a week, 24 hours per day, throughout Los Angeles County. All ambulances are licensed and inspected by the California Highway Patrol and the EMS Agency of Los Angeles County. In addition to ensuring that the vehicle and equipment meet set standards, the county EMS agencies also license all our EMT field personnel. Our vehicles are routinely maintained to provide the best dependability, durability, and patient safety.

Bariatric Transport Services
As a leader in medical transportation in Los Angeles County, we take pride in offering a full range of services for our patients and clients. To that end, we are pleased to offer transport services for bariatric patients. Our vehicles are staffed with patient care experts that have our bariatric patient’s safety and comfort as our highest concern, as with any patient transport.
Our medical transport personnel undergoes training for both the unique needs that these patients have and the specialized equipment required for optimal patient comfort. Our bariatric units are spacious, and the gurneys are extremely safe and specifically designed for accommodating larger patients. Behavioral Healthcare Transport Services
Explorer – 1 specializes in the transport and attentive care required when attending to the needs of patients experiencing psychiatric, and behavioral conditions in which there is an alteration in behavior, emotion, or thought, that may present in an acute form or a chronic condition.
